Powerplant Systems

Classes held here:

202 Powerplant Fuel and Induction Systems

This course covers familiarizes the student with fuel metering systems and induction systems including supercharging, turbocharging, and airflow principles.

This course is designed to develop the skills to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair aircraft carburetion, fuel injection, fuel controls, induction systems, engine cooling systems, and engine exhaust systems for both reciprocating and turbine engines.

207 Powerplant Electrical

This course is designed to develop skills in the installation, maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting of various ignition systems, starting systems, electrical wiring and indicating systems.

Magnetos are overhauled and tested, starters are overhauled and tested, and electrical wiring systems are installed and tested. Troubleshooting of these systems is accomplished on running engines.
