Classes held here:

204 Reciprocating Engine Overhaul

This course is designed to develop skills in the overhaul of aircraft reciprocating engines. An in-depth study of the theory, construction and maintenance considerations of engines is followed by a complete major overhaul of an assigned engine.

Students will learn to follow manufacturer's manuals and service bulletins, perform operations such as precision measurement of parts, cylinder servicing, non-destructive testing, cam and ignition timing, and installation of critical bearings, seals, and gears. The use of many specialized tools and operations is practiced.
